4/52

It's still white outside here at the end of the week thanks to the cold.  We've tried to spend as much time as possible playing in the snow but definitely haven't spent as much time shoveling as Owen would like.

Owen:  did this 5-6 times during the storm.
Ever: snow covered eyelashes make her even sweeter.

3/52

January cabin fever hits again.  Sickness and polar vortex temperatures kept us home - eventually pinging off of our own four walls.  A long country drive and plenty of crafts saved the week.

Owen:  we drove all over western maryland looking for a special spot.  Made it to the river and took a walk along our old friend - the C&O canal.  Owen needed a stick throwing/rock chucking outlet and the water nicely complied.

Everly:  we made goo for one of our 'science' crafts.  They were excited for a minute - but then both wanted their hands washed.  I ended up playing with the goo the longest...and then cleaning for twice as long as they played.  Win some...lose some.

Owen:  bead craft necklace/arm sling
Everly: sick day.  I wanted to give her a pillow but she wouldn't let me replace the balled up blanket she was already using.  Poor bug.

1/52

Owen:  it snowed 5 inches but the wind swept most of the powder away.  The patterns in the field were spectacular.  We admired them as we plowed paths through with the bike.

Everly: apparently thought it was funny to dump out the popcorn on the carpet.  She obediently cleaned up her mess and cried when I didn't let her vacuum the leftover crumbs.
